We’re always looking for ways to make engagement sessions feel like you—not overly posed or stiff, but personal and memorable. When these two mentioned wanting something different, we started throwing out ideas together and landed on something that felt playful, nostalgic, and just a little unexpected: a croquet game in the middle of Holcomb Gardens.
It ended up being one of those sessions where everything just worked. The light was soft, the gardens were quiet, and the whole vibe was laid-back in the best way. They leaned into it all with ease—laughing through the game, pausing for kisses under a parasol, and making space for moments that felt real and relaxed.
We always tell our couples, the best photos come when you’re fully yourselves. This session was a reminder that love doesn’t always have to pose—it can play. And when it does, it’s magic.
