Kathy and Brian own their own businesses and used their talents to decorate their ceremony and reception space with laser cut signs and florals/decor. Their personal touches complimented the elegance and charm of The Wedding Factory’s industrial wedding venue vibe. It was the first day of October. The sun was shining. The wind gusting. It was a busy day at Dougherty Orchards in Cambridge City, Indiana. Families were picking up apples and cider. Enjoying the beautiful day. But something special was happening…Annastacia and Caleb were getting married!

The orchard provided a beautiful setting for a beautiful wedding! The love between Annastacia and Caleb along with their family and friends was shining bright throughout the day. It was a pleasure to be able to capture it all!
Hannah + Jon | Winter Park, Colorado Wedding
Clouds and rain were grazing the tops of the mountains along the horizon. The sun shined through every so often with brief kisses of sunlight. A soft breeze was in the air on the top of the mountain we were on, shaking the chilly air from the evergreens that surrounded us. It was September 15 - now forever to be known as the day Hannah and Jon were married on top of a mountain on a beautiful day in Winter Park, Colorado.

Hannah and Jon opted for a small, intimate wedding with a few of their closest family and friends to witness and celebrate in their marriage. Neither one of them had been to Colorado before, but the mountains were calling. They chose a beautiful home in Winter Park, Colorado with panoramic views of the mountains and beautiful landscape to host their wedding. It was a magical three days full of good conversation, delicious food, adventurous hikes, and so much love.

From exchanging special gifts, to their private “first touch,” to a prayer with their pastor before the ceremony - their love and faith were the center of the entire day. After their beautiful ceremony - in which Erica sung so beautifully to Nate - we celebrated at the Palomino in Zionsville, Indiana. The day was absolutely perfect and we feel so blessed that we were able to be a part of it. More to come when we share their video!

We always a complimentary engagement session with our wedding photography packages. This is the perfect opportunity for us to get to know our couples better and to get couples warmed up in front the camera and introduced to our style. We met at a spot that was familiar to them and one of our favorite spots to shoot at - the Muncie, Indiana Reservoir. We cannot wait to capture Kathy and Brian’s wedding in January.

From the moment we had our first call with Shelley to their engagement session in the Spring - we knew these two were special people.

We could hear it in their voices and it was all over their faces in every single one of their engagement pictures.
Shelley and Jim married at Black Walnut Grove Estate in West College Corner, Indiana on a beautiful September day. Their wedding day was filled with unique and personal touches that represented their personalities, family and friends, and their love for each other. These two were so relaxed and so focused on the one thing that truly mattered on their wedding day - getting married!

Today, Hannah and I are celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary! Being in the wedding industry, we have talked multiple times about what we would do differently at our own wedding if given the opportunity to make changes. What we discussed has never been anything major, but minor changes that we either didn’t know about then or have grown to love now.
Today, Hannah and I are celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary! Being in the wedding industry, we have talked multiple times about what we would do differently at our own wedding if given the opportunity to make changes. What we discussed has never been anything major, but minor changes that we either didn’t know about then or have grown to love now. We always look back on our wedding day and enjoy the memories with family and friends, the day was perfect for us. We made it our own and celebrated with everyone close to us.
One experience we love reminiscing over was the surprise engagement I was able to miraculously pull off. I spent a couple months going to different jewelers trying to find the best engagement ring that would help represent our love. During this time, I kept thinking about what would be the best engagement for us, finally I made the plan for us to visit Maine. I worked with Hannah’s boss at the time to get her a couple scheduled days off so we could make the trip. I secured our AirBnb, purchased the plane tickets, reserved the rental car, and at last had the engagement ring in hand two days before we were going to leave.
The day we left for Maine was a typical Thursday for us. I was still taking night classes at Ball State University, so when my class was over I went to Hannah’s apartment. As soon as she opened the door, I handed her the plane tickets and she didn’t believe we were actually going anywhere. I was able to convince her that this was a legit vacation for us and we deserved it. I personally thought she knew instantly what was going to happen. However, we woke up the next day bright and early to catch our flight. We arrived in Maine and it was everything Hannah and I had dreamed it would be. We drove up the coast to Blue Hill and found our cabin, settled in and shared the evening together in the most storybook setting you could think of.
The following morning, we woke up early - started our coffee in the French press - then hit the road. We drove the hour to Acadia National Park to watch the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. We walked down the mountain to a secluded location and I asked for Hannah to look out to the sea for a photo. As soon as she turned around I was down on one knee with my phone in one hand and the ring in the other. Til this day she still claims she had no idea that I was going to propose.
The video below is a project I was working on up until we left for Maine. I had the whole video planned out of various videos we had from the previous years when we were dating and I knew I wanted to make this experience as special as I could for us. After the proposal, we spent the afternoon in Bar Harbor and then posted this video to make the announcement of our engagement. This video will always hold a special place in our hearts, as well as the song (highly recommend), and Maine will always be one of our favorite places.

Cassandra + Brandon | 4th Floor Blues Club Richmond, Indiana Wedding
Last month, we went back to Josh’s hometown of Richmond, Indiana to photograph Cassandra and Brandon’s wedding day.
Last month, we went back to Josh’s hometown of Richmond, Indiana to photograph Cassandra and Brandon’s wedding day. The ceremony and reception were both held at the 4th Floor Blues Club in Richmond, Indiana. This unique location has so much rustic, industrial charm from the exposed brick to the old school elevator complete with an attendant. Cassandra and Brandon added to the charm of the location by blanketing the location with personal touches - remembrance chairs for loved ones, shelter animal adoption cards on every table, engagement pictures, and more.
We were able to go offsite for portraits and wedding party photos to other beautiful outdoor locations that Richmond, Indiana has to offer including the Richmond Rose Garden and Hayes Arboretum.
From start to finish, the day was filled with so much love. It was obvious how much time and thought was put into the simplest of details. Cassandra had gifts for practically everyone - and it was her wedding day! See below the incredible gift that Cassandra and Brandon gave to us. We are so happy we were able to get to know Cassandra and Brandon and document this beautiful time in their life.

Shelby and Steven brought their daughter, Bella, and their two pups along, and we just love how this engagement session turned out. We took their engagement photos at Whitetail Tree Farm in Springport, Indiana. Despite the winter chill, we were blessed with a beautiful golden hour and the best weather! In October, we’ll return to this same location to capture their wedding day.

On a beautiful January day, Brenna and Tim tied the knot! The day began at First United Methodist Church in Richmond, Indiana, which had the most amazing natural light. The next stop was at ice sculptures.

The next stop was at ice sculptures. Yes, you read that right. Brenna and Tim’s wedding day aligned perfectly with Richmond’s Meltdown Festival. Beautiful ice sculptures blanketed the downtown sidewalks and provided the perfect backdrop for portraits. The day ended at the Kuhlman Center where Brenna, Tim, and their families transformed the large open space with personal touches and decor.
It was a day filled with so much love and attention to detail. We are so grateful to have been a part of it!

Cincinnati Couple Session
Cincinnati will always be a second home to us. When Hannah and I first started dating, I was living in Cincinnati and Hannah was living in Muncie. We spent many weekends exploring the city - the parks, art museums, local eateries, and so much more. We are always looking for an excuse to visit, especially for photos!

This session with Christine & Ryan was so much fun seeing different parts of the city! You cannot even begin to imagine how cold it was this day, but they were troopers and came out on top! This beautiful Saturday afternoon was also the Bengals return to the playoffs and the city was on fire with excitement all day. After finishing photos for the day, we made our way downtown to a bar to catch the historic game! We could not have asked for a better day or couple to shoot! Cannot wait to make it back again soon!

We met up with Brenna and Tim the week before Christmas for their engagement session. With the cold weather settling in here in Indiana, they chose a quaint little coffee shop in the heart of Cambridge City, Indiana for their location.

We had so much fun with this cozy engagement session, and we were even able to venture outside for some shots. The great thing about a lot of downtown locations is the variety the space offers. We can’t wait to capture their wedding day at the end of January!
